Julie Raque Adams -
Kentucky State Representative - District 32

|
Julie Raque Adams is a principle and
founder of the public affairs firm, Adams & Call, Inc.
Established in 2006, Adams & Call provides clients an
extensive list of services that include public relations,
community outreach, and government relations.
In addition to her business endeavors, Julie Adams was
elected to serve on the first Louisville Metro Council in
November 2002 and won re-election in 2004 by capturing
83% of the vote.
While on the Council, Julie served on the Appropriations
and Finance
Committee, Budget Committee, Planning and Zoning
Committee and was Chairman of the Contracts Committee.
During her 2-terms, Julie was involved in many business,
tax, and economic development issues, as well as
affordable housing, funding of non-profit agencies, and
in actively and successfully reducing the operating costs
of local government.
Julie brought a tremendous amount of governmental
experience to City Hall,
having previously served on staff for U.S. Senator Mitch
McConnell (R-KY) in
Washington, D.C. and as a federal lobbyist for the
Massachusetts Institute
of Technology focusing on issues such as higher
education, health,
environment, and science and technology. Julie then
returned to her hometown of Louisville and began
employment with Congresswoman Anne Northup (R-KY).
Julie Raque Adams was born and raised in Louisville. She
graduated from St.
Margaret Mary, Sacred Heart Academy, received a Bachelor
of Arts degree from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN,
and a Master of Arts degree from The George Washington
University, Washington, D.C.
Active in the community, Julie Adams attends St. Margaret
Mary Catholic Church and is an active board member for
Family Scholar House and a former board member of the
University of Louisville's Early Learning Campus. In
addition, Julie Adams received an appointment to the
United States Environmental Protection Agency's Local
Government Advisory Committee, and was appointed to the
American Council of Young Political Leaders based in
Washington, D.C.
Julie is married to James Adams and is the mother of two
sons.
