The Jefferson County Republican Party’s mission is to help elect and maintain qualified Republican leadership at all levels–federal, state, and local office–grow the party and support the agenda and policies as defined by Republican leadership.
The Republican Party is the party that believes that government should be limited—it should defend our homeland, both foreign and domestic enemies, enforce the laws, keep people safe, give children a good, fundamental education including a solid knowledge of our Founding and the Constitution, educate children, and provide a safety net, but then get out of the way.
We believe government should do no more than absolutely necessary. The difference between our Party and the other party comes down to one principle: our Party believes that a person’s individual rights—right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—come from God and the right to govern is loaned to the government by the people. The other Party believes a person’s rights, their dignity and their worth, come from the government.
We seek to bring these values and timeless principles to Louisville and Jefferson County, and to take our city in a new direction. The Jefferson County Republican Party will return local government to its proper role of securing our persons and property, protect our freedom, and allow us the liberty to make our own economic and religious decisions.
