YOU WROTE THE LAW, YOU TAKE THE FALL
280,000 cancelled health policies in Kentucky; you can “thank” Congressman John Yarmuth
Louisville – Kentucky’s 3rd District Congressman, John Yarmuth (D) attempted to distance himself from the disaster [Affordable Care Act] widely known as “Obamacare.” He admitted that President Obama’s guarantee that no Americans would lose their current health insurance was “a big mistake.”
In a statement to WHAS 11, Yarmuth said “Those of us who were drafting the law as I was in 2009, kind of cringed when he [President Obama] said that the first time. We knew that that was not possible…”
Congressman Yarmuth helped to draft the law that has left 280,000i Kentuckians with cancelled policies. If he knew that President Obama was not being honest, isn’t he obligated to clear up these inaccuracies and come clean to his constituents? But even more so, Yarmuth’s own congressional website included the same inaccuracies that he “cringed” about.
Congressman Yarmuth owes his constituents an apology for propagating false information, holding back truth for political gain, and simply not being forthright with regard to Obamacare.
Chairman Nathan Haney sends this message:
“Congressman Yarmuth you wrote the law, now it is time for you to take the fall.”
